After my milling adventure on the 1880's shaper I set it up on my granite and did some checks on it to see how it turned out.
Hero or Zero Machinist? Measuring what you Make. - YouTube
Checking it out on my granite plate reveals that things look pretty good. The table surfaces check flat and parallel within +-.001" over 24" . Squareness checks to something less than +-0.001deg of error best I can measure. I checked most every surface even though i didn't show it in the video as it would have been really hard to see. Overall I would have to say I am happy with the results. mike says he can get it checked on the CMM where he works and that will really be a detailed test better than I can do anyway.
