Lathe help please

Many of those cheap machines were built in the same factory using the same blue prints as they copy everything. You need a complete saddle that includes the cross-slide and compound. Tell them everything including screws, nuts, wipers, gibs, etc.

Once you get it, it will need to be fitted by scraping. I see your in Texas. I have several students from Texas who would be able to help you fit it. Once you buy something, let us know and we will see who you can call. It may cost more then the rusty machine is worth though. You may want to open the headstock and see if the spindle bearings are rusty. Let us know what you find out, good or bad. Good luck
