I have a leaking oil seal on the drive input shaft of my Leblond Regal Serial 11E650 1980. There are several shafts going into the headstock, and each has an oil seal. Does anybody know if these are standard "off-the-shelf" lip oil seals, or something that I need to order from Leblond? Thanks!

I would say 90% of all oil seals on American made machines have seals that can be purchased from an Industrial Bearing supply house. Once you get it apart look for a seal number or measure the shaft and OD of the of the hole and seal thickness. I would call a industrial supply and not a auto store. If the shaft has a worn groove in it you can buy a metal sleeve called a speedy sleeve that you can press on the shaft that makes it easier. Here is an example. 99225 SPEEDI-SLEEVES - MROSupply.com
