Hi All
I just set up a 3 or 5 day scraping class again at J&S Machine and Valve in Nowata Oklahoma which is about 45 minutes north of Tulsa. From Thursday Sept. 20 - Monday the 24 TH. We will teach the class to beginner or advanced students. The class will follow the same format of all my classes and seen on You Tube that my many students have put on there. Can find them by searching "Richard King Scraping". J&S said they will let us have access to all their machinery which is as small as a Bridgeport up to a 100" Betts VTL. They have lathes, grinders, Mills, etc. Send me a message and I will send you more info. Rich

PS: If this class is not at a good time for you we have a class in August in Ohio also listed on PM and Ebay.

This class is going to take place starting Thursday Sept 20 thru Sunday the 24. Nick the owner is going to have Alex .and I stay and do some Preventative Maintenance on his machines the following week or 2 after the class. I will be driving down Interstate 35 so if anyone needs a mini 1 day class or some rebuilding needs we can stop on the way home. I am also accepting anyone who can only take a day or 2 class. Also if you would like to attend and are having some sort of hardship come and be my quest, First come first served as I can only take 1. Message me here please your email and I will send you the info. Rich

This class starts next Thursday, Sept 20, 2018 and we are now accepting 3 day students. The class has 9 students now and we have room for more. Alex will be raising the price of the classes in 2019 so if your on the fence better come to this one. The building in Nowata has AC so it should be comfortable. Nick the owner is the fellow who bought Cash Masters planner and I am not sure if it will be ready to run. He does have a complete machine shop from small Hardinge to a 100" Betts VTL. Nowata is about an hour north of Tulsa OK where there is an International Airport. We will be staying at a Hotel in Bartlesville about 20 min west of Nowata. Rich

Plugging away down here in OK. The class is over and now we are doing some rebuilding and machine maintenance. Nick has a 48" x 86" Granite table that we had no clue how good it was. We laid a grid on the table and used a 15"/.0005" Starrett level and a King-Way 12" / .0003" level to test it. We leveled the plate first using 3 points under the table legs and then moved the level every 6". I have been testing plates like this for 50 years. There are better ways, but for a repairmen who needs a plate on a service call and it is not certified you look for the best part of the plate to use. This plate was terrible and had accumulated error or holes in 6" apart of .0004". We avoided those area's. We did find some area's less then .0001 in 30" x 18" that we used.

Some extra pic's of class. We used a big room in JS's new shop. We were short of table space, so we had a bit of a mess, Will add a few more photo's in a few days. Rich
