I left the pulley on the shaft and created a carousel.
First mask pulley if desired.
Then spray a flash and finish coat on the end bell next to the shaft.
Invert motor so that pulley is on the ground.
Rotate motor and paint the rest.
In the past I had used a heavy block of wood with a hole drilled into it so that the inverted motor/shaft would fit and rotation would still work.
I removed the riveted on motor plate and taped holes for small screws to install the plate again.
I'm using DuPont ANSI 49 grey Industrial Grade (Imron from days past). I painting in a enclosed booth with what I thought was a good down draft air system.
Turns out that if the fan is turned off I don't get fine dust and dirt on my finishes. Is there some filter material that I can sling across a 2 x 2 hole.
I probably not going to buy another Grainger filter again.
