I'm trying to see if there is a repair manual for this machine, but it seems like that is asking for a lot. Grizzly keeps referring to their own owners manual, which has exploded views of their assemblies but I'm looking for more of a repair manual. Besides, their exploded views leave a lot to be desired.
I believe Grizzly machines are actually South Bend lathes that are made from less quality materials. Admittedly, I havent gone down that rabbit hole yet. I was just curious if anyone here has been down this path, and if perhaps an after market repair manual exists.
The questions I need answered have to do with the assembly of the rack and pinion gear, and how that correlates to the half nut and the X-Z feed engage lever. Do the gears need to timed in some way ? Is there an order in which the components have to be assembled. I cant seem to find any alignment arrows or anything like that.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

There is no such thing as a repair manual for any Grizzly product . Grizzly bought the South Bend NAME only that is the ONLY relationship there. The only "timing" involved is when you engage the half nuts when cutting a thread. The rack /pinion as long as they mesh that is all there is to that. You sound like a newby ,if so do get the GENUINE SB book How To Run A Lathe and read it very carefully .
