Default Rockford IL Scraping Class coming Up

I just received an email from Bourne and Koch, in Rockford IL this morning and they would like to host another Scraping / Rebuilding class sometime this fall or in 2021. We have had a 1/2 dozen classes there in the past. They are a consortium of he machine tool builders here in the USA. Here is the info they had in 2019. If someone would like to attend lets talk and when would be a good time for you. They will only do week day classes. M - F. I am leaning for a November or December class, What say you? Pic's are from classes I did there. Cash Masters and Daryl Smith took that class.

I would absolutely love to attend that but I've recently had a back problem pop up that is probably going to make it impossible. Having very limited income in the first place probably would have ruled me out anyway. Have fun everybody, take some good pictures and video for me.

eKretz, Your invited to come to the first day and sit in on the classroom, Q&A session and observe while the students learn to hand scrape. No Charge as you contribute a lot of valuable info on PM. Rich

I will keep that in mind and thank you Rich, but not sure I will be able to do even that. Just got back from the docs. Going for CT scans and nerve conduction EMG tests this upcoming week. I have spent about the last week lying around on my stomach. Not doing well at the moment.

Sorry to hear that. All the best and I hope they've got a fix for you.

Rich, that class some years ago was a great learning experience.

I would love to swing down one of the days during the class and say hi.

Cash I have a funny one...I taught a MN class last week and one of the students was from the new Busch Precision group. He scraped a parallel and when he went back to show their inhouse scraper (who is swamped and I suspect one of my students, 20 years ago) When the new student showed him the scraping, he said "Cash must have done that" lol....

Not yet. I may do another one in Santa Rosa Beach Florida in February if John Terry hosts one again. That's the one where Adam Booth, Keith Rucker and Lance Baltzley help by rebuilding a machine while I teach a class. Pic's are from last years class when they started the rebuild on Lance's planner.

I would look forward to seeing progress on Lance's planer, I ground that a couple months ago. I know he has been busy with his full time job taking care of our 4 legged friends.
