On my King-Way Straight Edge Brand I tell customers to buy a "non angled" HK model Camel back when your scraping a lathe bed and a with 45 deg angle HKA model when your scraping a Mill with dovetail ways. One can mill the thickness of sole to lighten it up. I have always left mine as a clean up cut + .062 as I scrape different brands and sizes of machines. The non angles are considerably lighter. For instance a HKA 36 casting weights 55 pounds and a HK36 weights 33 pounds.
