Taft Peirce Scraping

3 x 6 probably. I still have that plate, but sorry to say I now use it as a table that students scrape there projects on. I do have a smaller one, maybe 18" x 36" Taft Pierce surface plate in storage. I'll pull it out tomorrow and hopefully it's still ok. I bought it at an auction and it has a Taft Peirce name plate on it. When I worked for my Dad we used to scrape big lathes and some G&L Boring machines 25 to 50' long. Most of the time we had them planned beforehand, but we sat on boat cushions and slid down the beds on our butts. Then we used to 1/2 moon them by hand. What a a pain back then.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

I have one of the Moore Tools 4x4' Master Plates. When I picked it up at Moore one of the scrapers shared your sentiment-- that it was painful and took forever
