I enlarged the pic and I am sure it has a long taper locking ring next to the chuck. It could be L0 or L1.^^^ yeah, also noticed. They did make a few with L1 tapers.

I am not interest, but curious on just how salvageable this lathe is? From a pragmatic standpoint, is it too far gone? If it can be restored, will it take a lot of time and money?
Looks very rough, but I have no experience and knowledge in evaluating machines. Looks like a parts machine, to salvage some internal components.
