Have 2 Giddings & Lewis Numerimills to part out. These are old NC tape reader machines and if you looked at this add you probably know more about them than I do. I'll get some pictures if there is any interest in them. Both are Vertical Milling Machines in not running condition. Heavy Iron with many salvageable parts.

Todd,
They are ancient for sure. The are currently awaiting the scrap truck. When I looked at them I saw large cast base and upright column, and table. They were both bed type vertical mills with about a 3ft square table. A great start for a build your own CNC machine. Not sure if the screws were ball or acme. I'll try to get some pics, what are you are interested in seeing? bob

These must be ancient. I can't find a picture on the internet.

Could you post a photo?
Try Numeridrill. As I remember the machining centers were "numericenter" and the lathes numerilathe. Don't remember any numerimill. Natcherly they had ballscrews, they were from G&L.

Photo here (they had more squarish tables than a vmc, might make them attractive for some parts)

For comparison, here's a numericenter

Thanks for posting. When I went to work at GM in 1986 there was one of these setting in the Tool Room. I ask around if anyone could remember it running and nobody could. Ours had a 20 x 40" table and other than not being able to start up and run was in very nice shape.

A couple pics, sorry for the rotated effect. This one is actually called a Numerimite. The larger one is gone, 60's vintage. This one will be gone soon and has not run for many moons. Floor space is needed for other machinery that is arriving Monday. These old gems were probably top of the line 60 years ago.
