I was the mechanic at a good size golf coarse from 16 until I graduated high school. I could have all the electric carts with bad batteries I wanted for the taking and I took a few. I put a Road bike engine on one. It was a ton of work and when I finally got the gearing right it blew the gears out of the rear axle.
The electric carts are real fun actually. As a teenager working on this big coarse a fun thing was to take friends and girls onto the coarse and veer off the cart path at full speed on a very steep grassy downhill and crank the wheel to the lock. That thing would just spin and spin and spin. You can't possibly tip over an electric cart.

I thought that one not too bad until I saw the break in the base casting. I'm a sucker for taking on basket cases, but that I think he should part out.
Yesterday I sold a Colchester compound slide and 4 way tool post for $450. It sat there a long time I took some flak from people who didn't like my price (piss off, buy someone else)....yesterday a guy shows up who needed it, sending to his brother out of country, $450 cash. I got the last laugh on what some might have called a funny. Sometimes you just wait for the guy who really needs it.
I'm looking through kijiji, and see a set of ceramic ball bearings for roller blades for sale at $150. wtf? Do some searching, and there are idiots out there paying 350 retail to put ceramic bearings in their skates. Thats the next trip, I guess they're upgrading from their $19/set ABEC 9's. whats worse, they're not even a quality brand, just Chinese crap - "Swiss" brand not made.
if you can put aside the ethics, I wish I was smart enough to get rich selling a 95% margin product to idiots who have zero need for it
