I am reading the rpm display on that wrong or does it say that goes to 2247 rpm !!!

Looks like it was raised in sand (instead of a normal household) so originally didn't have that big a chuck.
Actually, looks like it might be a nice lathe, if cleaned up. Send it to Texasgunsmith for rehab, the bones are good.

I watched the auction end, waiting for someone to slip in a last minute bid. Obviously didnt happen. If I were closer, I would have snagged it for the minimum bid of a grand, if no reserve.
