This machine was originally an 1890-ish Whitcombe Planer and was modified in the 1980’s into a 5 axis CNC machine. It is currently in use in a shop in Poulsbo and is soon to be replaced. It is currently in service and is set up to only use 3 axes for machining aluminum. This machine will be picked up by a machinery moving company in a few weeks and can be delivered by the moving company. Weight is around 9000 pounds. If there are no takers it will be scrapped.

Interesting - someone put some work into that Frankenplaner. Hope someone can use it.

Are there any more pictures available? I think I see how it works, but more shots would be helpful.

Yes, lots of work and it has been in use ever since. My friend Bob has been using it for many years and it is actually working today. Here is another image that I have but for more images contact Bob. The CNC controller and software is a bit dated. I'm just helping out to keep it out of the scrap and also help out whoever.
