I've written several programs that might be of interest to forum members.
ME Consultant is freeware. It includes powerful calculators for machining (mill, drill, turn), drill depth, volume and weight, and surface finish. Data tables include screw thread (extensive), drill chart, center drill, and hardness conversion. Inch and metric data supported. I spent a lot of time writing a User Guide which explains the program and a lot of machining terminology.
ME Threads is a massive thread data database (all a machinist normally needs to know about 1014 different threads). Inch and metric. You can print a nice report for a specific thread. It costs $15.00. Demo available.
ME Weights is an advanced weight and volume calculator. It can deal with most of the shapes you'll ever come across, and many different materials. You can define assemblies of different shapes, and print a nice summary. The price is $15.00. Demo available.
