I’m selling a number of machines I had held on to after a recent merger we went through. While I had planned on keeping these for personal future use, maybe a home shop or hobby setup, I’m forced to sell them now due to medical debts. These have all been stored inside except for the Marvel Power Hacksaw. It’s only recently been moved out of the building and is not yet in a storage container. All other items have been continuously kept in our shop or in storage containers. Everything was running at the time they were removed in April 2017. We have forklifts available to load and can also continue to store them until shipping can be arranged if necessary. I am unable to arrange shipping though, these would need to be picked up at our shop. We are located at Sunnyside, WA. I will provide directions and available pick up times upon request. Thanks for your time, please let me know if you have any interest in what’s shown below.

Bradford Metal Master Lathe, 16” Heavy
  • Running but I was in the middle of repairing the acme screw on the cross slide when we were bought out. I have the new screw material (will take a section of LH & RH acme to recreate), original screw, and all the parts necessary to reassemble.
  • 2-3 years ago I made a new cast iron chuck adapter plate for the headstock so that a wider variety of chucks could be used.
  • Taper attachment included but not currently installed.
  • $2400 OBO

Pratt & Whitney Heavy Toolmakers Lathe 16”x36”
  • Running when removed but I was in the middle of making a new chuck adapter for the spindle nose. I’ve machined a bronze copy of the spindle nose for final machining of the cast iron adapter but haven’t had time to finish it. I have the parts necessary to reassemble.

Kearny Trecker No. 2-B Universal Milling Machine
  • Currently powered & in service.
  • Notes: We’ve kept this around for large keyways (over 7/8”), which we don’t do much more of. It’s old but also very dependable. A vertical milling machine head for this unit is included but the head has a broken gear tooth. I can provide pictures of the head upon request.

EDIT: ignore 'Burke' in subject / post title, should have read K&T.

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear about your medical debt, I hope you sell all your equipment quickly! If you give the service number on the medical bills a call and ask them if there's some sort of discount you could have, they might give you one (especially if you don't have insurance). I've had luck with that when I didn't have insurance. One of them places gave me like a 90% discount (granted, the bill for that one was only like $50...). Some of them might only give you a discount if you pay in full but it's worth a try, in my opinion! Good luck, man!

Thanks again Silas(?) for the great GK effort of years past:D

Here is the early thirties brochure on the P&W Model B lathe. The 16" was last for sale new in 1935. Thanks to Greg Menke for hosting this for me.

Metal Master Bradford catalog pages available for scanning if wanted

Thanks for the pdf link. As always John, you're more than helpful. If you need eyes on any machinery up here in the PNW again, just let me know, always looking for an excuse to slip out of the shop.

Thanks for the encouragement. We're trying every avenue to help with the bills and we've been able to get some reduced and some on payment plans, but even still they pile up quick.

El Mustachio,

I'm interested in a few of these machines and would like to come by to take a look at them. I tried sending you a PM but it says you are out of room. Could you clear up some space and send me a PM.

Inbox was full, it's been emptied out now. Go ahead and try again. Thanks for the heads up about DM's not going through.
