It looks like it has a sleeve of some sort in the spindle - if you knock that out with a drift you'll probably find that the spindle bore is ~3/4" or thereabouts.

Logan spec sheet says 25/32 spindle bore for model 1400.

I have a model 400 - which is essentially the exact same lathe. I really like the lathe. I added a VFD with a 3 phase motor and a travadial on the x axis which created a very capable lathe that is relatively easy to do work on it.

Yep! your area for that machine I would guess $500 would be more realistic. Real short bed no quick change minimal tooling. Here in Phoenix I might be able to get $650-700 for it.

I've said best offer and still nothing. Will keep it before giving it away.

Wrong crowd here to sell that particular lathe full retail. Better fit on Facebook or Craigslist.

Many logans were never in a production shop so they can be found in very good condition.
They are as good a machine as a South Bend in my opinion.

Op's lathe has change gears, can't tell about the $3900 one.

Here is one a bit (way) overpriced for $3900 (looks about the same condition and rusted)
