1937 Monarch 24N lathe. 24" catalog size, 27.5" actual swing. 108" between centers. Taper attachment. Steady rest, but knobs don't turn on all 3, missing a guide. No chuck, toolpost or tooling included. Located in Brownsville, PA
Much wear on ways and carriage details here - Removing Carriage on Monarch 24N?
Selling this whole or parts. We can load onto your truck. $2,500 obo. Please contact me with questions or are interested in specific parts. PM here, or my email is my username @ yahoo.com.
I need to get this out of the shop to make room for the next lathe. If I don't get any interest here, it's getting sold as scrap metal. I'm guessing it weighs around 15,000lbs?
Yes, I know it's a good old lathe that's rebuildable and they don't make them like this any more, but I can't be the caretaker of this particular piece of history any longer. Hopefully someone else can make use of it before it gets melted down and turned into a Harbor Freight boat anchor.
