Default FS: South Bend 14 1/2" x 6' Lathe (NE Ohio)

I have a South Bend 14 1/2" x 6' lathe for sale here in north east Ohio. It is currently not wired up but when I purchased it several years ago, I had been cleaned up, painted, and had the motor rewound by the previous owner. I was able to turn a few parts in his shop before bringing it home. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to do much with it so it has to go.

I replaced the original cloth wiring with modern wire and it currently has a knockoff drum switch on it but I also have the original drum switch. It will also probably need a new belt as it was slipping that last time I had it hooked up and fired up.

I also have some tooling including a 3 and 4 jaw chuck, a steady rest and various assorted tooling.

I do have capability to lift it into a trailer.
Contact me here via PM or at pm at digiwebstudios.com.

I would like to get $2000 but am open to offers.

I can send more pics upon request.

is there a through hole from the outside in through the spindle? (I'm new to all the parts of the lathe... a hole to pass a long piece of work through...) If so, what is the diameter?
    Thanks in advance

Spindle bore, should be easy to look up for that model lathe.

The bore listed on the card is difficult to make out but it appears to say 1 1/8". It measures at 1.3".
