This 9" South Bend lathe is a 1947 Model A, catalog #544Z, SN 184865, 3 1/2' bed. It has a V-belt drive--no flat belts. It has a taper attachment and a thread dial (not South Bend original). The lathe was completely disassembled, cleaned, and new oil felts installed. It has a brand new motor and v-belts. The gears, lead screw, and half-nuts are in good condition.
