Potentially a screaming deal on a very nice lathe. Seller is not doing much of a job selling is he? Condition totally unknown, still at that price would be worth a look for anyone close.
That's a good looking lathe. If everything thing works somebody could be getting a bargain. Those lengths of metal on the cross slide are interesting. They look like the strips the " Meta- Loc " and " Lock- Stitch " guys use to join together broken castings.
Anyone know what it weighs?
I dunno. The tailstock looks a bit flimsy!!!
Would you get mobbed trying to get the lathe in Baltimore? Stoned? Beaten? Shot?
He said "this machine is a beast". What more do you need to know?

Its late enough to not say PACEMAKER anymore, but that it what it is, and the Type C (16 catalog, 19" actual) in the 30" length was 8300 about this time.
Do note the 15 HP motor
Thanks to Greg Menke, we have this somewhat earlier info (1958)

He has a deposit on it. Well, looks like it has lots of deposits on it. I asked him to e mail me if the deal falls through.
