I bought this machine from the original owner through a friend. I was excited as I'd heard a lot of great things about these machines over the years and had wanted one for a while, got a good deal so I jumped on it.
After I got it in the shop I started thinking about the parts I had in mind for it and quickly realized that I actually needed a sub-spindle lathe with live tools to get the results I was hoping for, without running fiddly second ops on thousands of tiny parts in my mill... I ended up farming out those parts to a company in the USA with a swiss that runs them beautifully and cheaper than I could in-house.
This machine has sat idle ever since, and I need to get it out of here as I'm downsizing and moving to a smaller shop!
The machine:
1997 Hardinge GT27 Gang Tool Lathe
Spindle: A2-4 with 5C Collet Nose 8,000RPM
X travel: 11.968"
Z travel: 11.968"
X max feedrate: 708IPM
Z max feedrate: 945IPM
Control: Fanuc 18T
Options: AUTO DOOR, PARTS CATCHER
Weight: 5,200lbs
Power: 230V 3PH 37A
Price: $3,000 USD (~$4,000 Canadian)
Honestly it's probably worth a lot more if I was to part it out, but I hate to do that to a decent machine, and I don't want to deal with the hassle.

This machine is incredibly well built, really beautiful. Wish I had the space to keep it just for the cool factor!
