Need to replace/upgrade.
Must have:
6 to 8 inch spindle hole/bar capacity
have or able to add rear chuck
80 inch centers minumum
tail stock
8+ tool turret
chip conveyor
Prefer:
Fanuc control
slant bed
Will consider:
OSP, Siemens, Mazak control
flatbed, if it can efficiently handle chips (hearing horror stories about Mazak M series)
$60 to $70K. More for the "right" machine.
Personally, I don't have a problem with Fagor control, but my guys don't like it.
