While searching for info about a LOGAN MILL. I found there weren't many made. I have one, and thought some of you may get a kick out of seeing some pictures of mine. It has 8X36 table, the base is 23X31 and stands 76" tall. The motor tag says it was made in 1967 JAPAN Enjoy

Love the step pulleys on that machine, plenty of adjustmentment- what is the spindle taper- anything special about it ie would it take Bridgeport heads on the far end of the turret and so on?

There was co-mingling / interbreeding / acquisitions and etc between Logan, Houdale / Powermatic, US Burke, Rockford and Millrite and frankly I can see what looks like similarities. I bet it's not a clean and simple story. Maybe Logan Actuator can chime in with some insight.

And as an aside a B'port J-head would bolt right up to a Millrite vertical.

I found a similar nearly identical mill to yours and was curious what information you had found about these! Thanks

Another Logan mill

I, too, have one of these machines that was dropped by the movers last month. A repair job is in the offing. In an effort to find out more, I contacted Logan Actuator, with similar pictures as yours. They (the sales dept.) do not seem to know anything about these mills and say they never imported any. Both of our machines have the Japan Machinery inspection tags and the same motor but mine with a 1969 manufacturing date. This implies that they were selling them for at least two years. I see is that my belt guard SN tag is a bit different in that I have only the SN of 708. I can't read the numbers on your tag's picture. Were they more readable in person?
Regards
