Thread: Unknown d1-3 adapter ??

HELLO, Can someone Identify this “Adapter” and what it would be used for please.
It came with a Monarch 10EE I purchased.

This would be a Step Chuck adapter, maybe a 3" size. The Monarch adapters don't always seem to align with the step chucks available from Hardinge.

This would be used with a collet handwheel or lever collet closer and a step chuck that would allow for holding diameters larger than standard collets would accomodate.

Stick a 5C collet in to check if that fits the insides.

Looks to me like a 5C step collet closer.

Could be any variation of the same general arrangement in a different size. Cross check against the common (and uncommon) collet sizes charts.
