What Are These Mystery Collets?
I bought a toolbox at auction with a whole bunch of what seem to be shop-made collets. There are no recognizable identifiers on them aside from the engraved inventory codes. No brands, no size info, no commercial serial numbers. Some have tangs on the sides which I guess register into whichever chuck or fixture they belong to. Sadly I have no more info, and as I can't recognize them, odds are I will not be able to resell them. I'd like to exhaust all avenues before I scrap potentially good items.
Does anybody have any clue what these might be? Or what chuck they might fit into?
Thanks in advance!

Not aware what scale these are, but appear well made to be interchangeable. I'd be tempted to build tooling for them, provided the ranges overlap. Potential use in lathe, mill, grinding for sure.

They are not really a collet, more on the order of a expanding hub, you need the arbor to use them, mostly used to hold grinding work, for the right job and shop quite valuable...Phil
