I was wonder how your Haas lathe has been treatin you. You had post a few months back about rigid tapping on it. Ever get that figured out? What's that ST lathe like? Still a Haas?

Nope, they never got any of the issues figure out. It's a real POS. Constantly have issues like the turret wiggling out of square. I'll give it this year and it will be worn out. 2/4-7 is not what H machines are meant to do. My vf2ss is going to just tip over any day looking at a wt 250 nakamura to replace it.

An 11 Pallet H300 is one way to "replace" a VF-2SS...

Do you ever foresee needing a traditional 40 taper VMC again? Maybe once you start injection molding stuff and need to make molds...

For molds, the makino horizontal would kick butt if they fit. Verticals have their place, but if it fits on a horizontal that's where I put it unless it needs to be ran on a 4th on centers. If I wanted more 40 taper verticals I dono what I would get.

Glen, I'll have to come visit you once I'm resettled in Oregon. I've got an Uncle in Payette that I should go visit (and a Grandfather in Roy, Ut I should visit too!)

Haven't looked at them in a number of years now but was very impressed with what I saw.

There was some "what to buy" thread on here a while back that I read and somebody had the following to say:

"When you are done looking at girls and are ready for a real woman, buy a Nakamura"

I got a kick out of it

What type of mills are those with the dust collectors on them, don't recognize them?

Really like the aluminum ladder conduit, can you run single large wires through that to add another panel somewhere in the shop and be up to code(you would likely need four individual wires to connect to panel)? Looks like right now you have 4 conductor SO cable going through them and you mentioned that was up to code, which would save a ton of time.

Resurrecting this thread (pun intended) because my wife and I were catching up on "The Walking Dead" on Netflix, and I noticed that one of the characters is using, what I believe is one of your Rifles. (Although, She'd have better luck if she'd put a fresh magazine in it...)

Anyway, we need an update how things are going...

I stuck the air dryer on the top of the chip conveyer. The stack is tombstone bases, all 38 of them. Were building tombstones and fixtures.
