Default Help with Makino Pro 5 communication

We have a few Makino A61's with the Pro5 controller. They have usb flash card functionality, however I can't get them to recognize any flash cards. Is there a size limitation via usb?
Also, is there a way to set up normal read/punch operation from the Makino software front via RS232, like typical Fanuc operation? I know these are basically Fanuc 21i controllers with a windows-based environment working over top.

Why wouldn't you use the Ethernet? So simple.

Usually 2GB and under work. PCMCIA to CF up to 2gb has worked as well.
