follow the basic rules Crisis management - Wikipedia

    which Frumpy knows nothing about.

Italy is a bad model, Taiwan and Korea were good ones we can no longer follow. Now we need to develop one that works for the circumstances. And it is not the individual Governor's job, it has to happen at the federal level.

    Oh my god.
    Who is this guy?
    Really?
Special task force to research and develop new protocols to address the current and future needs across multiple sectors to address future pandemics?
I am however jealous he is in textiles right now, I would love more med work, not sure how to help with a few mills and a lathe...

I wonder if Chester's speech writers wrote that for him or if he auditioned?

Everything. Everything you say is drivel, when it flies in the face of facts and reality. While Dear Leader can get away with it as long as enough of his sheep "Baah" his praises, the sheep individually don't have that faux (Fox) foundation.

So bleat on, sheep. In other circumstances your noise would be amusing, but your support for an idiot has turned out to have real and terrible consequences. History will judge you as well as that dolt.

Exactly my point, whatever happened to America First? If the defense production act is in order, no shipments to any other places unless the demand in the US is saturated.

Why is a US company shipping short supplies to foreign orders before satisfying US demand? It is like sending steel to Germany during WWII. Also, no company should be permitted to price gauge. If we have the war powers act in place the govt is in charge.

    Quick runthrough,

In 2008 the feds paid millions to a place to develop a $3,000 ventilator. Device got designed and three samples built and demoed.

Then that company got bought by another bigger medical place what made expensive vents, the product got dropped and the taxpayer got shit on. We should have got the design but instead we got zilch.

Later on the same fed agancy that did the first one went to Philips to develop this Trilogy Evo, taxpayer spent the money, Philips designed and built samples, then on our money they got the contract changed to read they could sell the devices commercially in other countries for a lot more.

Since then they have been making ventilators based on a US taxpayer-funded design and selling them overseas for big bucks. Meanwhile, we get nothing. These are the ones Trump was saying "would be here tomorrow" or whatever... well ...

"An HHS spokeswoman told ProPublica that Philips had agreed to make the Trilogy Evo Universal ventilator “as soon as possible.” However, a Philips spokesman said the company has no plan to even begin production anytime this year.

Instead, Philips is negotiating with a White House team led by Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to build 43,000 more complex and expensive hospital ventilators for Americans stricken by the virus."

What happened to the $3,000 ones ? negotiating with Jared, eh ?

Greed, for the lack of a better word, is good.

Roll me over, in the clover, roll me over, lay me down and do it again ...

We could have used this to discuss how you all gear up to producing things under the war powers act. Instead, this is again a pissing contest to prove one right or wrong because we are not operating on a common set of facts.
