From what I was reading the other day certain " hedge fund owners " are rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of us leaving the EU. Plenty of money to be made in currency speculation and manipulation apparently. That's why some of them have been chucking lots of dosh the Tories way.

    Regards Tyrone.

Meahhh.. (trying) to keep their 'puters secure was a reliable revenue stream for ages in Hong Kong - still is for my former partners.

One does form opinions... that more of them should be in jail than in posh offices, whereas "derivatives traders" should simply be recycled to free-up the protein wasted from the toxins.

Even so... "The City" harbours some of the most accomplished of said scoundrel class, OUTSIDE of Hong Kong. Ergo it is the far less tactically and strategically capable - also slower-moving - French and German Banks - if not entire economies - that face far the greater risk of being arse-ravished for profit if not also for the sheer joy of it.

"Perfidious Albion" never has been so supreme as to be able to AFFORD to imprison their most accomplished fraudsters, thieves and robber barons.

Blighty has always had to "weaponize" them to prevail over their external enemies.

Put another way? May God have mercy on the economies of Europe.

As "mercy" doesn't pay well nor play well, "The city" will never waste even a nanosecond pretending to it.

Exit poll gives the Asset stripper/conservative party a predicted majority of 86 seats.

OTOH it's likely to provide a few more years of ongoing entertainment. My youngest daughter is out of the UK now so I don't care what happens next.

I didnt realize it,but I could have voted in the UK election....not that I would have braved the ice and snow to do so,or got out at 4 am to have the first dog outside a polling place....now that is quintessentially British.....what third world immigrant would even have a dog.

I used going to the polling station as my ''daily post heart attack exercise'' in to the teeth of a 17 mph, rain filled 3 deg C wind on the way out.

As I was told as a lad ;- If you don't vote, don't moan.

Surely. Spike in the sale of beverages. Sewer flow increase according.

You wanted something more USEFUL than those voted in, yah?

I think Boris is only "technically" a third-world immigrant, given both of his parents were British even though he was born in New York. Which might ACTUALLY class as "FOURTH WORLD" were it a separate country from the healthier parts of the USA, in any case.

    Otherwise?

    Chinese.

Dog's "stage name" varies, but underlying MOS-code is "emergency rations".

Not a fear for one Boris might keep. Neutering perhaps wise. Pups could be butt-ugly with that wild hair, and ONE "DJT" is plenty, thanks.

My conscience is clear, I didn't vote to make poor people poorer. It looks like they did that for themselves.

Blighty isn't as simple to explain as that. That's a feature, not a bug.

The only thing certain at this point is "somebody" has enough of a majority to - in THEORY - pass a bill with no support from any other faction.

"In theory" because expecting the fractious Tories to all vote the same way hasn't been a reality in rather a longish while, already, regardless of the hood-badge on the bus.

Or clown-car, as remains to be seen. More cynicism, please. We're British.

Minds me. I'm out of Branston. And I can actually FIX that lack.

Gotta keep yer expectations in line with yer capabilities and limitations, yah?
