Toilet paper supply was fine throughout.

AFAIK, our Virginia residence had about a two-year supply on hand before this nonsense even started. If I was actually worried, I'd lay-in an Oxygen respirator and another hundred gallons of #2 Diesel.

Folks eventually get a klew onct house and garage are full-up with bum-fodder, there's going to be a longish period the markets can't move a 2-roll pack in a whole week as sales go flat for the rest of the year to use-up a national over-stock "warehoused" in private homes!

Puts me in mind of Harry Truman keeping sugar-rationing in effect in the face of an eye-bleeding surplus, the war long over.

Dad got pissed-off, bought his parents, his three sisters and brother each a 100 lb sack. We spent a whole damned MONTH brewing Apple butter huge old Copper cauldron a day outdoors over a wood fire with our combined share and the remains of a 5,000 tree apple orchard.

And the next dozen years trying to use it up!

Can't STAND apple butter yet, 70 years on!

This go? Person could learn to enjoy wiping-up with surplus "Feel the Bern" Tee-shirts, maybe?

Somehow I don't think 16 million Chinese people are really concerned over my well-being. Grocery stores had everything because the socialist government figured out people need to eat, so they stayed open and stocked.

Wow, what a concept. Preparation and logic .... too bad you weren't here to advise them, we could have had some shortages because, you know, people ...

    No quarrel.

As long as a select few expat (or is it exiled or expelled?) Kalifornios such as yer good self are hard at work convincing the Chinese to be better Communists, and more along the lines of yer bosem bud in DPRK, if yah please?

We can hope y'all will be too busy grabbing the opportunity and might ferget trying to kommunize America?

Win-Win? Well the Chinese might disagree?

From todays Downing Street Press Conference ;-

UK 'committed to post-Brexit trade deadline'
The chancellor is also asked whether it is a good time for the UK to leave the EU if the economy is going to be so damaged by the pandemic.
Rishi Sunak says: "We have left the European Union, that has happened, we are now working on the final terms of trading arrangements. That work is carrying on."
He says negotiating teams spoke earlier this week and would hold more talks this month and in May.
"We remain committed to the timeline for concluding talks and negotiations, albeit over video conference rather than in person," he adds.

They may well be committed,. ……….but that deadline ain't gunna happen

    F**k's sake!

    BJ "engaging positively?"

Now there's a "silver lining" no one would ever have dared hope for!

Can we get the REST of Parliament to go off and get infected?

Ohhh, that's what this is all about Sam!
Killing Brexit, Vox party and the Catalan separatists, the Italians and Salvini, and the Frenchies yellow vest protests.
No-one is allowed out, no-one is allowed to protest.
And when the financial hardship REALLY kicks in, *they're* banking on all of us saying "please Sir, we want to be together"...

have you got any better ideas? cos in my book after this pandemic, going it alone isn't going to be an option, …………...nor is returning to the status quo of globalisation - which basically got us in to this mess in the first place.

"Yah got a point there, Judge" But it renders "Brexit" undo moot, don't it?

What with "ream-aiming" EU members shutting borders for the first time in modern history, Yew Ass of Ay States & Counties, Canadian Provinces, Australian Territories.. and then... Counties, Cities, Municipalities, and even housing developments and apartment blocks in Sewth Effrika, cruise ships, everywhere?

    There IS "precedent", after all.

Look at the long-enduring suspicion of travelers and other "strangers" during and after the times when the "Black Death" swept Europe.

Coincidence, I HOPE.. but Brexit is about dead-last on the list of Grape-written's "eggjokes" to be put back into their broken shells, given what has come to pass.

Haven't got that far yet! Been too busy trying to put 2 + 2 to sort their plan out

I'm 100% convinced that Brexit was never going to happen. The more I looked into how it all worked and the clubs the UK is in etc - It was all too entrenched which is why the establishment never for one second even entertained it.
But they had to fool us all - and hence Boris with BorisBrexit was launched... obviously in name only...

Coming out - I reckon they'll be a bit of a recession but the likes of manufacturing for wind turbines and anything green will have billions pumped into it by .gov.
So hopefully our industry will be a better industry to be in. Providing one can jump on the green train...
But the lesser skilled/no skilled will be fucked. But that's what the Universal Basic Income is for.
I see violence and theft etc massively rising too.
    Unfortunately.

Ref Brexit and all Nationalism being killed off - Here's Tedros - the WHO main man yesterday.
Remember that the WHO are the health wing of the UN...

    3.45 onwards.
Tedros who blatantly is the China mouthpiece, spreads his NWO chit and threatens Trump to STFU over his attacks on China or "they'll be more body bags".
And ensures us that "any country that has a better system will be in crisis if we keep politicizing".

So there you go - if you keep blaming China, they'll let some more Covid out...

I see Boris has been moved out of the ICU. That's good to hear.

Tuesday, Trump said we had offered to provide (what I assume was Remdesivir) to his doctors.

His DOCTORS, yes. Probably booze, antibiotics, PTSD therapy and retroactive combat pay as well. Same as DJT's OWN staff get.

    Boris himself?

    Not so much...
