Is that the only thing your simple mind can come up with when confronted? POINT POINT POINT! Maybe ONCE in your your POINTLESS life open your eyes and you will see a point?

Where in your post that I quoted is the point other than the mass hysteria conspiracy theory that Russia somehow has a mass hold on the US government? Take off your tin foil. Or maybe do a favor and drink some more Cool Aid.

Back to the subject of Tesla.

It doesn't matter how much the thing can pull if you can't easily charge the battery.

I think the last time I had to wait in line at a gas station during holiday travel the wait was 12-14 minutes.

Even then you only spend about 2-3 minutes to fill up. That article says you need anywhere from 30-70 minutes depending on your charge. That could end up being a sizable portion of time on your trip. Definitely not a good use for long haul trips.

What is the cost for EV recharge when one is away from home?

I know stated is/may be about $7.00 after spending perhaps $1k for a home system.
    Seems about 5 hours with a 220 v charger.
looks like about 35 minuets for 100 miles charge with the bigger charger..

Ok- so we aren’t getting a Tesla truck...
There was an old Tv Sci-fi series called Terra Nova. Lasted only one season but they had a 4wd vehicle which has a strong resemblance to the Tesla pickup.

And it has no headlights either. The side windows are unbreakable as well. Doors can not be dented.

I remember waiting in line at a gas station for many hours - and couldn't even try unless the date matched my plates.

The Gates team was working on a Traveling Wave Reactor.
Again, in the spectator seats but the description seemed to hold promise.
I assume production will resume at some point:

The 2016 election was simple to describe if you were there and paying attention.
Much like the 2005-2007 housing bubble crest, stumbling around trying to identify causes after the fact is a game for those not attentive, with short memories or both..

Currently, Nissan is extending its offer of $3,500 off the Nissan LEAF to Colorado Springs residents until January 2, 2020. Additionally, residents can receive a potential federal tax incentive for up to $7,500 and a Colorado state tax incentive of $5,000.

So that looks like $12.500 in taxes somebody other than the car buyer has to pay,
plus the incentives for chargers and the like...some body has to make up for the lost taxes..
Then people think they are going to not pay the road tax common to current fuels.
When something seems free better watch out.. Nothing is really free.
Fed gas tax is 18 cents , Michigan tax is 19 cents ,
