Telling, is it not, that even with three years of effort and 80%-plus of the sensationalist media in cahoots, that they have done such a terribly BAD job of framing an EASY target?

Meaning, whatever ELSE they are, they are ALSO about the least-competent of fools since the gang who couldn't shoot.

    Straight or otherwise.

I said "clowns". I MEANT "clowns."

The SAD part is not that they are so transparently WRONG. That's what they were elected to BE, after all. No foul on that score.

Rather that they "own" hearts, souls, and imitation minds, of a large "base" so lazy as to actually BELIEVE them.

And even defend their ignorance. Vigorously, yet.

Trump is imperfect. Very. Also effective. Very.

His opponents are far the dirtier. Also incompetent. Very. At ANYTHING at all. Even framing a President for things he did not do - all whilst ignoring beneficial things he HAS done. In spite of them, not because of them.
I will point out that with lethal military aid to a country that when it is approved what and how much that delivery is scheduled and there are any amount of things like the issue of corruption or even war crimes that can hold it up.

So factors which are valid can put aid on hold and it is not against the law if they are held up either that is valid reasons. It really is hard when you take something which is not wrong and make it wrong for some political agenda. This whole ordeal will see the bright light of day at some point.

It can turn out that to cover for the witch hunt which began to be threatened before he was sworn in that this continued effort is doubling down on the same conspiracy. At least it looks like a conspiracy even though more likely it never will rise to such a determined smear. It could very well be mass hysteria or as some say Trump Derangement Syndrome. Interesting that such psychological terms can be applied to anything and it just amounts to someone being just plain mad or just plain narly.

You know Dads often get a bum deal because they were often too tough on us but we survive. Politicians lie and do the most terrible things just look what kind of environment they work in at least in a shop a jackass can be fired.

Think of the difference between that and what we see working out now. It is like work because the rules are flexible and can be overlooked or outright violated.

Let’s agree that this has so bad a potential to harm the country that it is offered up as a poison pill to just harm it just like a drastic life or death operation.

Surely. Ukraine makes Panama look clean as Switzerland. Always has. First round of military rations sent as aid hit the black market, never reached the troops.

Most-recent Prez ran on an anti-corruption platfom, but had come to it off the back of a profitable career as a comic, but.... partnered with a known corrupt puppet master.

Which way would he REALLY go, once sworn in?

Folks tend to not even bother LOOKING. He was a Comic because he was good enough at it - by accident, initially - to earn serious coin.

By profession? President Zelinsky of Ukraine is not a comedian at all.

He's trained as a Lawyer, rather, and he's been dealing out seriousness, jokes no longer.

The joke is now on those who presumed they could control him. Ultimately, Ukraine will be the better for that.

But it was NOT yet established earlier in the year that he would gain traction, nor even try to do. Caution was appropriate, given his predecessor had proven "less corrupt" than what came before, but that was still a loooong damned way from "not corrupt at all."

That is part of what we (don't actually) pay OUR own wanna-be comedian - who never WAS a lawyer, but is - thankfully - too ornery to HAVE a puppet-master, to be cautious ABOUT.

    BFD.

As he said, if he were to cure cancer, the Dems would rate it a treasonous plot and set out to impeach him for it.

They have forgotten HOW to a do anything ELSE at all.

This is a good thing for either their party or the nation?

    Just HOW?

You think their partnered leftist media are all you need to listen to?

Would you believe alleged right-wing-only Fox news has Democrats on the screen as can drive a Conservative right up the walls? Balance where none was expected? No fear. No one important listens, after all.

“This is a good thing for either their party or the nation?”

I may have typed that yet I do not see a very positive side unless the ones who did this get voted out in time. It needs to be above board and the fact is Trump attracts enemies and for a tycoon that just ends up in court and he wins. In politics it is not as safe. He fights on though. He is really a hard nosed fellow.

Most all of the drivers of all this are people who built their careers on being prosecutors or Trial Lawyers and then there are the wana bes too. Tough neighborhood especially with prosecutors as they tend to have the understanding of true Justice that a shark might have if they are building their reputation and standing.

"Safe" is what the other guy is. But only after he has died, and you can no longer tag his ass!

Among the most telling of indicators? Trump - his base - and most of the talking heads on Fox.. are laughing. Often, heartily, and nearly all the time.

Akin to the guy who had known his MD since kindergarten, trusted him enough to ask advice on some undetectable poison he could use to murder his wife and not get caught.

Doc has long known his friend as a nutter, been shagging the unsuspecting sod's lovely wife for years, sez no way, toxicology can detect ANYTHING!

There's nothing for it but to SHAG the wife to death, and he needs to know it will take six MONTHS of noble effort, exactly - then writes a prescription for several kilos of Viagra.

Five months, three weeks later, the Doc drops by for dinner. His buddy is in a wheelchair and on Oxygen, emaciated, greying, wrinkled, nought but skin and bones.

Wife is singing in the kitchen, comes out to greet, all bright-eyed and healthy, spring in her step, looking a teenager, fully 20 years younger. She bounces back into the kitchen to fix a fine meal, starts singing again.

"Just listen to her! I almost feel sorry for her."

"Poor dumb bitch hasn't the least klew she only has one week to live!"

That's DJT. The more you screw with him, the younger he be.

Guess who LOVES that sort of leader, warts and all, who fights hard, f****s right back, "doubled", and doesn't ever quit?

Yup. Got it in one. Real Americans, and more of them NOW than in 2016.

Now .. if only the sumbitch could COOK....??

Senile old fool Nutsy Pelosi and mumbling Quid Pro Quo Joe Biden might eat their own damned pacemakers - OEM hearts having been sold off ages ago!

Nothing shows the terrible state of the US healthcare system more than the unhinged rantings of some of our elders. Poor things, first they glorify a colluding, traitorous, emoluments-seeking orange goblin from the deepest of nightmare swamps, then they post their gibberings on forums and expect praise. It's much like a toddler proudly showing mommy the poop it just laid on the floor.

But a toddler will grow out of that phase. Our dear, lost Bill seems to be descending further into his madness, just like his Dear Leader, I suppose.

Bill, do you want to see the whole world burn? Are you pleased to see a US President acting like a two-bit (scratch that, a half-wit half-bit) dictator, with his lawyer and aids admitting to crimes on a daily basis?

At least the youth get it, with demands for impeachment at their highest among the young. They see their future being harmed, I guess some oldsters want to see it all go to hell as they do.

Yes for sure. People are still highly useful even if they have human failings. When a entrepreneur learns to put those things to use and not be bothered with the usual human nature That comes with them then things are much better off.

This is one of the key identifiers of Trump's personal malignancy - zero empathy, no concept of humor, instead a delight in others pain.

When I say that Trump is a monster, that's not hyperbole - he's a narcissistic sociopath. But, he's unfortunately good at dragging the "little monsters" into the slime trail he leaves behind. Just look at his supporters...

You know him so well and don't like the way he treats you, maybe you should stop sharing his "red room"?

Or at least cease leasing him space in your head at no charge.

You can bet your ass he's been laughing today.

Wound the snowflake hoards up tight as a rubber-band as to hosting the G-7 at his Doral Resort, gave them just enough time to watch their heads start to explode and hair spontaneously combust.

    Then changed his mind!

Biden is going to "beat him like a drum"?

Not so long as Trump plays the lot of them as if they were an orchestra!

    Priceless!

I suppose it's good someone (you?) is glued to the tube watching his every move and considering it brilliant. Seriously though, show me one of the apparently hundreds of video clips where he's actually laughing, and not at someone's misfortune. One or two from the vast assortment you claim would do, Bill. I can't recall a President so devoid of humor or the tiniest bit of self-deprecation.

As for the brilliance of holding the G7 meeting at his property, then calling it off (sorry, not glued to the tube on either that or the laughing) -- could be there's another explanation. First, he thinks it would be really cool, him being the universe's greatest leader and all. Second, his lawyers point out it's likely a crime under the emoluments clause -- and certainly won't help in the impeachment investigation. Third, he reluctantly decides it's better to claim he can get away with shooting, grabbing, doing anything, than actually test the courts.

Meanwhile we're digging our country ever deeper into a hole of national debt, lost allies, decaying infrastructure, bitter partisanship for political gain, empowered enemies, a shrinking middle class, climate issues not even believed, health care still 2x others and not covering all our citizens, a cabinet filled with swamp creatures and inept temps, and more pissed off nations with nukes and missiles to deliver them. The good news is that we've pumped enough borrowed money into the economy and markets to feel good until all those debts come due.

    Hilarious, apparently.

See "entitlements" share of the overall budget. Shared blame. Long years, not his doing.
    , lost allies,
Turkey? More to that than we have server space for the discussion of. Whom else 'd'you know as was not already cross with us?
    decaying infrastructure,
Yeh, that was all in superb condition until Trump swore-in, then it all fell apart in five wall-clock minutes.
    increasing partisanship,
Only because Hillary & Orcs do not want to believe we have an Electoral College system, let alone one in which she was defeated. Some years ago, already, actually.
    empowered enemies,
Maybe not for long. Dims might lose the house, next go they don't find any other job but "Enemy of the United States".
    shrinking middle class,
..that is dumb enough to vote Democratic-Socialist and suicide-out to poverty?

I'm good with that. The ones as pay attention are doing fine and growing.
    climate issues not even believed,
That I cannot figure, either. Why would anyone refuse to believe forest fires will be... forest fires?
health care still 2x others and not covering all our citizens,
Yup another of those things as was 100% perfect unit DJT raised his right hand, then went all to shit within five wall-clock minutes. Go figure.
a cabinet filled with swamp creatures and inept temps,
Aye. Damned hard to get AT some of the Obama holdovers, yes.
and more pissed off nations with nukes and missiles to deliver them.
Only new addition with nukes plus known accurate delivery capability I am aware of, last 20 years, was Taiwan, and aircraft, not missile. Whom else have we missed?

Prolly could get more done if we had a functioning House of Reprehensibles as knew TWO words instead of only one.

But then again, could was they do less damage when not working at anything important, so.... take what we get when we get it and be grateful for their paralysis.

Eventually, they'll just stop bothering to pretend they ever did have any other agenda but illegally reversing the 2016 election.

Until then, the gridlock beats bad legislation. There's enough in the ways of spares & redundancy in 240-plus years of making laws - many with zero wear on 'em that we can prolly get by just fine, another dozen years, no new laws at all.

Would be nice if both the House and Senate got back to governing in citizens' interests rather than those of their donors.

You might have just hit on why the Pelosi House has gone trumpf**k off the rails instead of legislating.

Nobody is PAYING the Dims to DO anything more profitable than create lies, these days.

Not as if they have any ideas of their OWN as can gain any traction, after all.

Not until cometh the Socialist Internationale, anyway. We'll have to wait and see. Odds are, they start 2020 claiming three elections in a row didn't go according to their plan.

Look at the mid-term. Took back the house only to prove beyond any remaining doubt they didn't have brains enough not gone infantile-senile to do anything useful WITH it.

Couldn't have HIRED that point put any more clearly into the record, could yah?

You'd have to understand "old age death" in regard to cellular organisms, yah?

Post 2020, looking to 2024, USA may finally have a three-party system. Democratic Socialists spun-out to "Socialist" period, whilst legacy Democrats take back their traditional center-left as "Democrats". Period.

LOL! No nihilists under our roof. Mini-captalist retirees, rather.

I DO plead guilty to finding it laughably humorous as to teasing the Hell outta the poor snowflakes going into a rage for no other reason but ...well the ability to exercise a rage and use Trump as the handiest excuse for it? Rude-bugger ever has a fatal coronary, their heads would explode outta vengeance denied?

Or - in Hillary's case, brand everyone a Russian asset but her own sold and paid-for self? Her links are that solid, perhaps we could simply deport her treasonous ass to Siberia? That'll scare the shit outta Putin, yah?

Mind, "Slick Willie" came in, I did exercise my triple-credentials advantage, rebased first to London, then Hong Kong for the better part of each year, sixteen years. But kept the house, here, and still had the taxes.

Mought sell-up, motor of to Portugal and stay 'til cremation, Socialist actually DO take the country here to ruination.

Most tax presently is on property, not a lot on income, so I'd more than double my "purchasing power" that way and get decent and affordable medical care as a bonus. The language ain't hard. First-cousin to Gallego.

    We shall see...

we can add Sophist to Nihilist, as your arguments usually range from the puerile name calling of a five year old, to attempts to use "logic" (how you torture that word) that a first-year HS debater could annihilate.

You claim Socialism, yet ignore the vast wealth that's siphoned off by the ultra-rich and politically connected from the poor and working class (that's us, by the way). Your understanding of what Socialism is was shaped by rabid anti-communists of the '50 and '60s, and yet you take delight in the antics of the man voted into office through efforts of umm, Russia and its communist leadership?

No, you write like a Sophist (the modern definition), and you think like a Nihilist. Let all burn around you, let it all collapse upon the ground as IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Sorry, it does matter. A Presidency of lies, corruption and betrayal is an abomination. You can take joy in it, I will not.

Translating all that to indicate that you have found yourself on a planet not of your choosing?

    No fear. Take a seat.

There is meant to be a bus for Mars in due course.
