Denmark veil ban: First woman charged for wearing niqab - BBC News

Denmark has just joined the European countries that already have a ban against covering your face in public. It's not just a niqab but that's probably what covers most of a face.

For what it's worth then I agree 100%. If it is that important then Europe isn't the continent for them. It isn't uncommon, especially with the very hot weather we've been having, to see the husband in shorts and a T-shirt and the wife walking behind and only seeing "her?" (can anyone be sure it even is a female?) eyes. Eyes BTW that always have plenty of make-up on.

So if it was 20 degrees below zero, you could get arrested for wearing a hat like this?

President Trump said we are free to wear whatever we want. I have heard of gas stations in high crime areas that ask you to remove anything that covers your face when you enter their store.

I'm normally a liberal sort of guy but I'm all in favour of a ban. I was crossing a zebra crossing a while ago. I was half way across when a Merc came flying down the hill straight at me. I had to run to get across. The driver and front seat passenger were both wearing black garments with only a slit for the eyes. They could have been men, women, Martians. If I would have been knocked down a I wouldn't have had a hope in hell of identifying the driver.

    Regards Tyrone.

Looking at the time you posted that then either you don't sleep or you aren't where you claim to be.

Nope. Nor dressing up at Halloween and similar. You genuinely curious or just being daft?

Just thought of something. The anti tax paid healthcare crowd are also the ones that complain most about those that get "free" healthcare. Not sure how that works unless people are allowed to die if they can't pay.

Like our systems do? Or are you saying yours pays for everything no matter what? Point is while overall we agree re health care, people still die because of poor care or financial constraints. If the waits don't kill you there's stuff our systems don't cover so if you have that affliction you're screwed.

In all honesty there is a chunk of the population here that is that sociopathic.
They generally don’t admit it but as long as they get there’s and don’t need to actually see it happening they’d be fine with it.
What do you think gated communities and tinted windows are for.
Plenty of people would just as soon eliminate Medicade which is the last resort for the poor.

It doesn’t even matter if you tell them it’s cheaper to see a doctor than to go to ther ER in the long run.
Being poor is a punishable offense here...and dying of a treatable condition because you are poor is considered by many to be part of the punishment.

Every time some one says something like...if the want coverage they should better themselves and get a better job that’s what they are really saying.
That poor people deserve to die because they are too poor to get better coverage.

Jeez. No that's not what I'm saying. The perfect healthcare system doesn't exist. Some though are better than others. Some things no amount of money will cover or cure but I will admit, no matter where you are, a person with enough money will get better odds and treatment than someone without.

I'd like to think that what Miguel wrote was wrong but reading some of the posts by the anti tax crowd he's not wrong. There isn't much sympathy for the less fortunate to some.

    Fun fact.
When trump had a falling out with his brother he cut off insurance for his nephews kid with cerebral palsy, even though Fred promised to take care of the families bills.

Just to give you an idea of what some people will do and think.

To some people cruelty is a virtue and empathy is a weakness.
