Not in my experience. I get an anti-cancer infusion every 3 weeks. Haven't missed one - the office is just taking a few precautions and carrying on as usual. Saw an ENT last week as well, for a regularly scheduled appointment. Again, no problems. And this is California, one of the places first affected, first to social distance, and with a fraction of the cases per capita of most other large metro areas.

If you want to get really disgusted, take a look at how a medical issue has become a political litmus test.

An easy example is during the spray on truck bed liner rage. The city I lived in 25 years ago dictated companies that did that had enclosed side draft and down draft booths. That was minimum of a $50k cost, which put a lot of people out of business in SoCal. Go to Arizona or Nevada neighboring states, you could spray those bed liners on outside or inside with no barriers. California even tried to shut down the mobile auto detailers, in most localities they made them vacuum up and recycle their wash water. That was another $10k cost most small operators could not afford. At the time I fled California 10 years ago it was a violation to wash your own car, in your own driveway, in many locations.
If you want to truly blow your mind, helped a mate build spraybooths in my evenings back in the late 70s, early 80s. Here, virtually any enterprise that sprayed, for what must now be close to 40 years, has been required to have one, so hardly unique to the socialists in Ca - even if it does trample liberties to tip your night soil over your neighbour's head below. It's funny how the atmosphere is considered one inexhaustible tip to dispose of toxic shit!

The car washing, drought or no - and couldn't tell you a number - but even in this backwater, it's been a long time since you could wash cars on hard surfaces and send detergent into the stormwater system without risking a fine. I see the micro business dog groomers can even achieve no runoff and recycling. Personally don't like the prospect of swimming in blue green algae either.

Hold on, Pete. Now you're putting PERSONAL observations ahead of what the NEWS is reporting?

More standard condensation and Sainthood from you Milland. His view is very well represented now. You and your gang are maybe busy rioting against the great Orange one as we speak.

No surprise that you always degrade the United States and support socialism, Communism, and dictatorships. No surprise at all to me and you still would not know if it were latched onto your arse either. I guess because maybe you are used to that kind of thing anyway.

Spare us your evaluations of what we all believe. For you it is another opportunity to spew your toxic brand of Anti Americanism. Just move to the island of North Korea. We would take up donations to send you except no one thinks it is worth one thin dime.

You must be SND's American cousin. You and he are dimwits of a feather.

[Psst: the word you're looking for is condescension, not condensation. But I am happy to call you all wet]

Someone raining on your parade? Not to condescend or anything.

I'd guess that no one posting in this thread:

    a) has been busy out rioting
    b) actually has a gang
    c) supports Communism (socialism maybe, but then we all do a bit, knowingly or not)
    d) likes dictators (unless you count an increasingly imperial Trump and his bromances with MBS, Putin, etc.)
    e) considers themselves un-American (the Brits, Danes, Germans, Irish, Spanish, etc excepted of course)

But, hey, if DJT gets a pass on the Ninth Commandment, you probably want one as well?

Maybe we can nudge this thread back on topic?

I almost gave that a "like."

    Both count.

Not sure the news has a whole lot on doctors abandoning their patients in droves (counter to my experience of them being there, with precaustions). They do have some pretty frustrated ones. This virus-related news story came up in the first page of results looking for the last month's news on Scott's claim they're abandoning their patients in droves. Most of the other articles seemed to be about opioids and doctors stuck in the middle of prescribing/not prescribing:

Coronavirus conspiracy theories are frustrating ER doctors

It's true, of course, that some patients aren't getting the care they need - perhaps largely out of their own fears of calling in?. There are likely stories on pages 2 . . . to n about it. People living alone, and isolated from friends, seem to be having a hard time of it -- judging by those reaching out in my area. Be interesting to know how many of our angriest participants here fit that profile?

That's a tough read. It is horrifying that something has been found in greater abundance than human stupidity.

It's human ignorance. If we could harness it to create electricity, we could light the world brighter than the Sun.

On a more serious note what's the state of dental treatment in the US at the moment ? Over here it's ceased to exist unless you want an extraction.

On the subject of North Korea,I saw an program on NK 's sanction busting .....including garments sold by US outlets ,made in concentration camps by slave labour ,and "laundered " thru China by using "showpiece factories" that are fronts for the channeling of NK goods into mainstream commerce.....the German professor running the research group (surprised he s still alive) claims the US importers are aware of the NK connection ,but prices are even lower than China manufacture.

See how shops never invest much to employee development. These employers feel better just hiring from the outside. That is fine until now they complain about competency and for low pay like I mentioned earlier.

Plenty of improvement needed today. It boils down to “ Owners get comfortable income yet can not afford to pay a livable wage.” If a livable wage is not paid then there is anxiety and resentment for employees. It is not all the employers fault really as they like to take care of their employees at least a handful do. It is the economy or the system.

It is not the employers fault it is just how the economy of manufacturing is. Globalism is fully supported by the government to the extent that we are suffering now.

I clinch whenever anyone supports Communist China. The ones who do buy in to easy money and also our country being dependent on other countries. We all can now understand the real costs of globalism and decide to turn around.
Maybe where you live is different, but we START at $15 sometimes more. Then we pay for training and then pay them more yet. Not solely out of the goodness of our hearts but because that's the going rate around here. It doesn't take that much skill/experience to get to $20, 10 years experience will cost you $28-$32, there's shops in the city paying $40 for 5 axis. I've done ok for myself and so have many of my friends my age that are welders, plumbers, electricians etc. It's a higher education than a HS diploma but they are all careers that if you start at the bottom and work hard you can learn as you go and achieve success. Most kids look down on these as dirty/hard work or struggle because their dad never taught them any mechanical aptitude. They'd rather work in retail or food service and bitch the minimum wage isn't high enough when they haven't made any effort to obtain marketable skills.

I know Tyrone. It is like a inside joke really. I do not hate Pete or Milland yet I will take issue with either or both whenever they go on to their mindless rants against America and our president. There has never been one like from either one of them for anyone who opposes them - not even for the clever posts.

Pete starts a thread and tries to run it like a “dictator”. (I hope I spelled that one right - humor - hire some of that.)

Milland and Javenruth were claiming that Korea was a Island a few weeks ago. I do not think that Pete believes that. I know Geography pretty good.

Pete you defend Communism, Socialism, and totalitarian dictators. You have always supported the Chinese and opposed your own president and even have attacked our veterans.

Come out and say it Pete you believe the Orange ghost is responsible for the protests and riots.
