    All's well that ends well, or at least doesn't end in a ball of flames.

    But while I'm sure I don't have the full context, this statement:

    "I'm not sure about the Profile Shift parameter, but am hoping that the same value of 0.050" clearance and backlash will suffice. It might to too sloppy. Not sure yet...still have a lot to learn."

    Has me nervous. I'm not sure of any gear arrangement with gears under two meters in diameter where an .050" clearance/backlash would be acceptable.

    Do you mean .005", or would you expand on this so we better understand?

    In my haste to try out GearBakery, I accepted the defaults of 0.050 for clearance and backlash. In response to your question, I plugged .005 into the respective fields to take a look visually and it almost appears line to line. I imported them into Rhino, precisely aligned the Pitch circles, then hid them so as not to obscure the results of the command Curve From Objects>Intersection to assuage my uncertainty. It found no intersections so .0005 will work...don't know if that's ideal yet. I've tried it also with 124 tooth driven gear and 25 tooth pinion which is closer to what the electric RC heli makers are doing. I'll know more once I get through the meat of the helical gear section of Dudley's Gear Handbook.
