Testing the waters on the cost effectiveness of rapid prototyping parts for a custom car application. As you may see on this forum, I'm getting bids on CNC milling the aluminum parts. Depending on the cost and lead time there, 3D printed partial parts could be helpful to move ahead with fitting in the car. Please advise on 3D printing options since I'm a newbie. They need to be +/-.01" and the finish doesn't need to be like a machined part. Rigid plastic would be fine. Parts are approximately .188" thick x 4" x 10" and .188" thick x 4" x 7".
