    Default RFQ - Monel Rings

Pricing K-500 Monel Blanks for a quote
We would need 5ea rings 13” OD, 9.5” ID and 2” wide.

    Any ideas?

I normally don't post in the RFQ section, but I'm kinda curious here.

Are you looking for a source for the material or a shop to do the work?
If your looking for a material source, maybe asking a shop that deals with drill collars could help. I think non-mag drill collars are made out of Monel.

Looking for a source for blanks 1/16" Tolerance. I do not know of any shops around here like that. Maybe an oil country thing?

Sounds expensive. I could give you a quote to waterjet blanks out of 2" plate. I'd guess the material is probably in the neighborhood of $12k. Custom castings or forgings would use substantially less material, but I don't know if there would be a cost advantage there.

given the price of material and the pain to machine
I would ask foundries about castings given the simple ring shape
    molding costs should be small

I second these guys!!! I have used them twice now for stainless forgings and both times I have been very impressed.
