Hi All,
I am looking to build a pressure housing for an underwater piece of electronics. My design is based off of a schedule-80 6061 4 inch pipe 16 inches long. Each end of the housing is machined for an o-ring sealed endcap and there is a CNC milled aluminum mounting tray with some milled mounting hardware inside. the whole unit is a little over 17 inches long, and consists of 11 distinct pieces. All exterior pieces will be hard-anodized, and the interior pieces can be color-anodized. PM me for drawings and step files.

Thanks,
Jim

I've got an underwater housing for a camcorder that is close to these specs -- except for big slabs of lexan on each end.
Looks like this, except red: Underwater Video Housing for: Canon XL1 3-chip MiniDV camcorder
$200 plus shipping, if it would work for what you need...

Aqua video, I remember them. (I started my machining career making underwater housings for Under Water Video Vault.)
I machined, and built 500-600 of them from 16 y/o to 24 y/o. (then got smart, and started my own thing. :D)

You can see Kathleen's U/W housing on the cover of the book.

You can see our camera housing (and large Pan/Tilt unit) on the rock, in the background.
**If you watched any of the '96 Olympic games, our housings were in use for:
Archery
Water Polo
Whitewater
Swimming
Diving
(all aquatic sports)

The other pic is of a commercial unit for a spectrometer.
