Hello. This is my first post on practical machinist. We are looking to get an additional tool shop to work with us as all of our inhouse machinists have moved primarily to production work and our outside toolmaker is overloaded. I am very open to questions and criticism and am happy to work with the machinist to make sure my drawings work out when they are actually built.

I am looking for the following requirements:
  • Ability to hold most dimensions to a thou on both turned and milled parts.
  • Basic heat treating capabilities would be helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to work in net 60 (I may be able to convince finance to work in net 30 if req'd).
  • No more than 6 weeks lead for small jobs.
  • Willingness to work mostly on prototype/one off parts.
  • Ability to work within a $1500 max budget and preferably under $1k on most jobs.
  • Assembly of tooling as an option
  • Ability to work with Delrin up to prehardened 4140 and tool steels.

If you want any more info, feel free to PM me!

For an example, I am looking to get 10X the attached tool built.T211250.jpg
