We are looking for a new supplier for large Mill-Turn machining of prototype 4340 steel shaft parts. Largest part out of 8" diameter x 24" long bar. These parts will require extensive milling including 3D surfacing, 5 axis drilling, large y axis milling so they will require a 5 axis mill-turn i.e. Mazak Integrex, DMG Gamma, Doosan MX, etc. We are looking for suppliers that can produce prototypes in the 3-5 quantities in 3-4 weeks. Maybe an oil type work supplier out there that is slow right now???
