0t-----An-124 engine incident

That is going to take more than duct tape and a good buffing to fix.

Surprised to see the amount of damage to the slat and fuselage.
 
I'm just tryin' to figger out how to git the bloody thing back up to the pavement!

Pretty impressive that the crew walked away from that one. If slats and flaps had been retracted before the uncontained fan burst it may have been a different outcome.

Had what turned out to be a generator bearing/shaft go US well north of arctic circle in a Lear 35. Feels really naked to hear all the odd noises and realize we were an hour away from a strip we could land at, further from a strip with emergency services.

Wonder how many wing spars the Amtonov has. And how many are still intact at the root.
