0t--class 8 truck frame straightening

Interesting set-up.

We had a local shop in Meadvill, "Teeds".
And they made their own frame machine (and building addition with pit)
much like a car frame machine (chief ez-liner comes to mind)
They had pix showing dumping semi trailers that they had straightened along with the aforementioned class 8 trucks.

However, they did it with the truck mostly intact.

Looks like it works. must be financially feasable to straighten those frames with wide sections. I know on standard trucks installing new frame rails isnt that bad and not that expensive. I did a paystar last year.

Most use railway rails set into concrete, and a selection of hydraulic rams and chains.....I once bought an ex army truck that the grunts had turned into a banana with the winch, bend was just short of busting the transfer case ......anyhoo,I took it to a truck aligner, they removed the fuel tanks ,and had it back straight in a couple of hours work....they had used a lot of heat, but it wasnt a heat treated chassis,so just a repaint...........I turned a $500 write off into a very low mile 4x4 truck I sold for $7000......
