The old 1-ton or so B&S cylindrical grinder had no obvious way to lift it without risking damage to something or other. It was probably designed well before the first forklift. It was on a very wobbly old pallet so we decided to move it to a nice strong plywood-topped oak pallet. Anyway we lifted it slightly with truck on left, so base wouldn’t catch on new pallet. We held the new pallet in place with truck in middle, and pulled on a strap around the base with truck on right. In a minute of several little tugs it was on the new pallet, and then got centered more perfectly with forks pushing on base. We could have done it with two trucks but it was quicker and more “certain” with three.
