I’ve been having issues with my fuel system on my forklift for a while so I finally upgraded it with an Impco.

Clark C500-50 or 60. All the tags are missing but it picks up 5k.
Engine: Waukesha D176G
Carburetor: Zenith 13293C

The machine has been sitting outside forever. This is what it looked like before the change and these are the Impco parts I used. All parts are used.

This is what it looks like after the parts are put on. I was going to make new governor and throttle linkage but my buddy had a better idea. He drove out the tiny roll pins and swapped the throttle rod and governor parts off the old Zenith and put them on the new Impco carb. Everything was a perfect fit with a tiny bit of filing for a set screw.

The Impco carb. didn't pull a strong enough vacuum to open the Lockoff so we pulled the 1/4” pipe plug out of the intake and ran it there.

The old regulator seal was shot and leaked antifreeze so I turned the front face off and made a replacement puck. I used the puck to seal up the thermostat housing and to mount the lockoff and regulator bracket. There is brass threaded adapter in the old regulator that takes a 3/8” bolt. I drilled it through and tapped the front of the brass adapter to mount the puck.

The parking brake never worked so it’s gone. It took about 5-6hrs start to finish but starts and runs better than it ever has.

Last of the pictures. I capped off both the vacuum lines on the carb.
