I have recently purchased an old Hyster H200HS C7S-1553A Forklift. It has the 'monotrol' on the throttle and a gear selector lever to the left of the steering wheel that operates a spool valve on the transmission with 4 detent positions.
If I select the furtherest forward position the forklift moves forward, the 2 middle positions it actually locks up, the furtherest back it moves forward.
The monotrol seems to be not working as it will only go forwards even when reverse is selected. I loosened the 3 pipes on the monotrol, the oil flow seems to change from one to the other when forwards/reverse is selected and oil flows out of the supply pipe all the time.
Has anyone got info/parts/service manuals on these transmissions? Some info on clutch pressures etc would be very helpful.
I suspect a clutch pack may be locked up/worn out.
Thank You.
