Hi i recently acquired an old Clark planeloader transport PL451204 . It has a 6cly Flathead , I need to find out what engine it is. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Call Clark directly. They've been quite helpful to me in the past, even to the extent of sending me materials for free when I explained I was a small shop guy.
if it has studs and nuts, its likely a 226,if it has lots of head bolts ,then its likely a 227.....the 227 is the later version ,and when I was fixin forks, you could still buy a new motor from Hyster for $8000.....which quite a few did.
