    Default Charging backup batteries

I have a T2 machine with 2 backup batteries. The machine will end up being unpowered for a few months and I'm wondering if I can charge the backup batteries directly while they are still on the board.

I have an older 3.6v charger for a black and decker rechargable powertool of somekind but it outputs up to 1 amp at 3.6v. I'm concerned that connecting it directly to the battery terminals will damage something.

Are my fears unfounded? If anyone has any experience trying to charge the backup batteries with an external charger please let me know!

    Thank you!

Most of those chargers shut down when fully charged and should kick back in when the voltage gets down to a certain amount
