Hello!

I have oil on many circuit boards, like in the pictures

Does the oil affect the electronic boards? I cleaned some boards with distilled water and so far I have not found traces of burning from the short circuit.

I haven't connected the lathe yet to the electric curent.

Had anyone else oil on electronic parts like in my situation?

Thank you!

yes
the cooling and filtration on those cabinets is imperfect
some will get dirty as hell
the oil condenses out of the air in a shop (same with your lungs:ack2: )
generally I have used an electronics rated cleaner
the oil and dirt can attract small metallic fines ,all bad for the control
clean it up
you should be fine

Isopropyl alcohol is the best thing to clean those boards. Put some in a squeeze bottle and rinse the boards off over a wastebasket with paper towels in it. There are also aerosol circuit board cleaners but if you buy some make sure to get the plastic safe version.
