SQT-10, T-Plus
I assume on the first line where you define your X finish stock, that is for both ID and OD.
My question is what If I have a bore that I want to leave less stock because of tool size.
How would I define that?
Thanks!
You would have to write two separate ID boring processes--one with a rough only tool and one with a finish only tool.
Say you have the X finish stock set to .010", but you only want .005" left in the rough bore.
The process with the rough only tool will have false geometry ie you make the bore larger by .005" to compensate for the machine backing off .010". The finish tool will have the correct geometry in it's process.
Later Mazak controllers allow you to control the finish tool amount by each process and not a global amount like the T+.
